Home Modifications

Home Modifications

Are you looking to make a change to your landscape or the outside of your home and not sure if it needs to be approved or not?  We're here to help!  Before you begin your project, please review the Guidelines to understand any modification limits and ensure your project will be in compliance.  If your project does need to be approved, an application should be made to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC), they will review and decide if it follows the Steele Creek Guidelines and you will be notified via email with a letter stating the decision.

When planning to start a project, please make sure to start the approval process well in advance.  The ACC has a maximum of 60 days to review your application and return a decision to you.

Our Steele Creek governing documents require the Association approve all proposed architectural changes before any work is started.

Every homeowner must submit a request before beginning any exterior work to the Association’s ACC when considering a project on the exterior of the home and within the property lines.  This may include, but is not limited to:
  • Painting the exterior or trim
  • New front door or screen
  • Redesigning or installing landscaping, irrigation, and/or lighting
  • Constructing a fence, wall, and/or gate
  • Adding a secondary structure
  • Installing solar panels or satellite antenna
  • Exterior changes not in private zone
If you have questions at any point while working to complete the application, please reach out to Heather at the HOA office (HLeyva@CCMCnet.com) or call 726-228-1161 during business hours for assistance.  If you submit the application and anything further is needed or there are questions, you will be contacted via email or phone.

All submittals require the following:
  • Modification application signed and dated
  • Copy of survey/plat of your lot to show the location of your improvement
  • Photo examples or renderings of the improvement
  • Other pertinent information regarding the improvement which would assist the ACC in their review
